 Originally hailing from Vermont, John Bacon pursued a degree in Recreation Impact Management. He contributed to the construction of both ski and hiking trails while ensuring the preservation of wildlife. This effort included the protection of endangered species by maintaining animal corridors and feeding zones. Additionally, he developed various recreational areas that promote coexistence between humans and animals.  With 41 years of experience in skiing, he has held roles as a professional racer, ski school director, racing director, and coach for the United States.  He is eager to collaborate with the International Snow Sports Coaching Association to create and implement programs for children, ensuring their safety in snow sports.

 We are currently engaged in the development of a curriculum for High School and College courses focused on Ski Resort Management. This initiative enables each participant to identify their future role in Mountain Employment. Such programs are advantageous for both the students and the mountain, as they create a pool of trained employees.
